This feature allows you to keep a running log of notes for each bill you’re tracking. The date and time is recorded for every note entry. This is a great way to jot a quick note after meeting with legislators or talking to your client about a particular bill. You can view this information easily at any time.
Bill Tracking Categories
As session progresses many tracking lists reach over a hundred bills in length. LobbyGov lets you create categories within each tracking list, allowing you to compartmentalize your bills even more. Generate reports based on particular categories for easy viewing.
Bill Tracking Lists
The core function of LobbyGov is the tracking list. The list is where you store the bills you are monitoring on behalf of your clients or organization. Most lobbyists use one tracking list per client, but you are free to create tracking lists any way you choose. The number of tracking lists available depends upon your service plan.
Campaign Management
Elections every two years for legislative and executive races in Washington are exceedingly important for many of your clients. LobbyGov makes it easy to track campaign contributions to candidates on behalf of your clients. You can specify your own recommendations and generate reports with the election information any time.
Committee Calendar Info
LobbyGov makes it easy to stay on top of the upcoming committee meetings that are important to you. When bills you’re tracking are scheduled for hearing or executive session they appear in a list on the first page you see when you log in and on your reports. E-mail notification can also be enabled.
Distribution Lists
Emailing clients the latest tracking report can be a real hassle when you’re busy. LobbyGov will take care of this automatically for you. Just create an email distribution list for each of your clients and select which reports to send. Many lobbyists use this to automatically distribute the Weekly Report to their clients.
Export Tracking Data
Once you enter all of the bills into your tracking lists, LobbyGov makes it easy to export the raw data for your own use. All you have to do is select which tracking information you’d like with our custom template tool. Then you can easily generate a spreadsheet with this information any time.
Global Watch List
Most lobbyists have a few bills for each client that are high priority. Instead of sifting through the tens or even hundreds of bills on each of your tracking lists to get the latest information on the most important bills, just add them to your Global Watch List. This list is separate and in addition to your individual tracking lists. You can generate reports based on this list just like any other list. This feature is only available on Premier accounts.
iCal Sync
For those Mac users, LobbyGov hasn’t left you out. Similar to the Integration with Microsoft Outlook feature, you can easily keep your iCal calendar in sync with upcoming committee hearings. Just specify the settings on the LobbyGov site and open the shared calendar from iCal and you’ll be on your way.
Integration with Microsoft Outlook
This feature allows PC users with Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Outlook to keep legislator contact information and upcoming committee events synchronized easily. Simply install the Integration application and a LobbyGov menu will appear in Microsoft Outlook on your computer. From this menu you can enable legislator contact and committee calendar synchronization based on a number of options. This feature requires Windows XP or Vista and Microsoft Office/Outlook 2003 or newer.
Issue Collaboration Tools
LobbyGov makes it easy to collaborate on issues. Simply create an “issue” to collaborate on and invite other LobbyGov users to collaborate with you. This feature allows you to keep a running headcount as you meet with legislators on particular issues or pieces of legislation. You can also add notes with even more detail.
Keyword Tracking
If there are particular keywords of interest to you, this tool helps you stay on top of that. Say you represent a transportation client. You might want to enter “transportation”, “highway”, “roads”, “rail”, and any other relevant keywords. Whenever a bill is introduced, LobbyGov will scan the language for any matching keywords and send you a notification email if it finds a match. As with the statute tracking, you can generate a Keyword Tracking report with this information.
Legislature Roster
Keeping track of legislators and their contact information is a very tedious task. This is all updated automatically and available on the LobbyGov site. Narrow the list by committee, chamber, party, or a whole host of other options. You can then generate a spreadsheet based on these selections.

When you’re away from your computer you can easily stay in touch with your tracking information from your web-enabled mobile phone. Add bills, view legislator contact information, and make other changes right from your Blackberry, iPhone, Treo or other mobile device.
Multiple Users
Every LobbyGov account includes multiple user accounts, including the main user and one or more “subbacounts”. The main user can specify access privileges for individual subaccounts, such as which tracking lists are visible and what changes can be made by that user. Lobbyists often give a client subaccount access and restrict them only to the tracking list with their information. The number of users allowed depends upon your service plan.
Notification & Alert Options
You know as well as anyone how fast things move during session. What sets you apart is how on top of this information you are. LobbyGov sends email alerts when the status of bills change or a committee event is scheduled.
Reporting
The heart and soul of LobbyGov is the reporting functionality. Storing all of your bill tracking information is great, but what what you can do with that information is what matters most. LobbyGov provides a wide range of reporting options that you can generate on the fly, send to an email address, or even fax to someone. This functionality in concert with distribution list options and other tools simplifies things during the hectic legislative session.
Statute Tracking
Bills are frequently proposed that impact RCWs one way or another. If you have particular statutes of interest, simply enter those into the system and any time a bill is introduced that impacts that statute, an email is sent to you. You can also generate a Statute Tracking report that details this information. Say for example you lobby on behalf of a higher education client. You might want to enter RCW 28B (the higher education title of the RCWs).
Today's Snapshot
When you log into the LobbyGov service, you are first taken here. This page is updated automatically and provides a summary of the bills you’re tracking and any upcoming committee hearing events that relate to those bills. This feature is available with all account levels.
Voting Scorecards
This is particularly important information once session ends. LobbyGov makes generating scorecards quick and easy. The scorecard data is customizable – you can select which bills to include and which votes to base the score on. An Excel report can then be generated easily on the fly.
WAC Tracking
For those tracking administrative agency rulemaking activities, this is a powerful tool to stay on track of filings and other agency actions. You can track by WAC or keyword. Any time a new edition of the Washington State Register (WSR) is filed, it is scanned for matches. An email alert notifying you of the match will be sent. You can also enable a notification feature to send you an email with a link to download the newest WSR whenever it’s published.

Advanced: This plan includes unlimited tracking lists, unlimited user accounts, and unlimited bill tracking categories for $1250 per year.
